Every TopDraw entry, paid or postal, is given a unique ticket number for that specific competition. This guide explains exactly when ticket numbers appear, where to view them and how they are used when the competition is drawn.
When ticket numbers are issued
Ticket numbers are issued during entry processing. For paid entries this happens once payment is confirmed at the end of secure checkout. For postal entries it happens when the team accepts the entry and adds it to the competition.
Numbers are not pre-allocated before processing, so you will not see a number until your entry has been recorded against the competition. This keeps the numbering tidy and prevents gaps in the entry list.
Where to view your ticket numbers
Once issued, your ticket numbers appear inside your [account area](/account) against the relevant competition. Each competition you have entered is listed with the tickets you hold.
If you have entered the same competition more than once, all of your tickets across those orders are grouped together so you can see them in one place.
Why ticket numbers matter
Ticket numbers are how each entry is identified in the draw. The winning ticket is selected by number, and the winning number is published on the [TopDraw winners](/winners) page once a winner has been confirmed.
You do not need to memorise your numbers. The system keeps a permanent record of every ticket attached to your account.
Ticket numbers and draw entries
At draw time, every valid ticket goes into the same draw pool, regardless of how the entry was placed. There is no advantage to choosing certain numbers and no advantage to entering early. Each ticket has the same chance of being selected.
If a ticket has been refunded, cancelled or rejected, it is excluded from the draw and will not be eligible for the prize.
What to do if you cannot see your tickets
If you cannot see ticket numbers immediately after a paid entry, give the page a moment and refresh. Processing usually completes in seconds, but very rarely there can be a short delay.
If you still do not see your tickets after a refresh, double-check that the payment confirmed on your card statement, then [contact the team](/contact) so we can look at your account.
