Showing the ticket cap upfront is one of the simplest decisions TopDraw has made, and one of the most important. This guide explains what you see before you enter and why a clear cap is good for everyone.
A clearer way to enter prize competitions
The basic idea is simple: you should not need to guess how big a draw is before you take part in it. Every TopDraw competition page shows the ticket cap, the current entries and how full the competition is, so you can decide with the same information the admin team has.
There are no hidden ticket pools that grow once entries are open, and no late top-ups that change the size of the draw at the last minute.
What you see before you enter
Before you click anywhere, the [live TopDraw competitions](/competitions) listing shows the prize, the ticket price and the ticket cap for each competition. The competition detail page expands on that with the closing date, the planned draw date and the current number of entries.
If a competition has reached its cap, it is clearly marked as sold out and no further entries are accepted.
Ticket caps and transparency
The cap is the upper bound of the draw pool. Combined with the current entry count, it is an honest indicator of how full a competition is, without dressing things up to push you into entering quickly.
We do not use fake scarcity timers, false low-stock messages or invented urgency to make a competition feel more pressured than it is.
Why we avoid hidden ticket pools
Hidden ticket pools are the opposite of what TopDraw is trying to be. If you cannot see how large a draw might end up, you cannot really judge the competition.
By committing to a cap before entries open, TopDraw fixes the size of the pool. The cap can never quietly grow once people have started entering.
How to compare live competitions
If you want to compare prizes, you can look at the ticket price and ticket cap side by side on the [live competitions](/competitions) page or use [build a prize bundle](/build-a-bundle) to put together a set of entries.
The detail page for each competition explains the prize and any extras like a cash alternative, where applicable.
Browse current ticket caps
You can see ticket caps on every prize right now on the [live TopDraw competitions](/competitions) page. For broader questions on how it all works, the [Help Centre](/faqs) is the best starting point. TopDraw competitions are open to UK residents aged 18 and over.
